Stanford Space Weather Monitors
Monitoring signals from reliable transmitters allows various space weather effects to be observed, including D-region enhancements, sporadic E, and atmospheric waves in the upper atmosphere. This information is of interest to space physicists, professional and amateur radio operators, and anyone who is interested in radio signals and the skies above.
Current Monitors
Various monitoring sites are providing data in near real-time. The current status of the stations and models are linked to recent data plots. The main monitor stations are:
- Baker City (BKR): shut down 8 Dec 2008. [Weather Conditions]

- Logan (LGN): experimental. [Weather Conditions]
- Providence/River Heights (PRV): operational; also USU VLF monitors operating as RHT. [Weather Conditions]
- Calgary (RAO): down for repairs. [Weather Conditions]
