Providence, Utah 84332
Current responsibilities include instrumentation interface development
and software design under Linux for ionospheric studies. Instrumentation
includes a magnetometer, GPS-based measurements, a small ionosonde, and
computer-operated radio receivers. Data are acquired in near-real-time
via the Internet for use in models and simulations. Tools for automatic
ionogram analysis have also been developed.
Development is carried out at the SEC office in Providence and at Utah
State's Bear Lake Observatory. Additional radio propagation monitoring
sites have been established at several locations, mostly in the western
United States.
